Some user (Lucian) sent me this .stl model that he made for filming with GoPros. I even think it may be compatible with other cameras given the mount, not sure.
You may want to add a way to attach a small shade or an electric fan. I had problems with my GoPro overheating on sunny days if there wasn’t much airflow.
@codebox I’m shipping features incrementally, so I’m not sure when I will consider v2 to be officially out. But I’m iterating fast, and it’s probably a matter of very few days.
Is there any point in having a mount that positions the lenses at the exact same relative position to the corner of the mount. Left camera is mounted normal but right camera is upside down and slightly higher?
Yes kind of. If you look at Veo from the front the lenses have symmetrical placing and that is not how a gopro setup would look like. One lens wold be a little more to the right. My question is if this have any impact on the output quality.
So what you are describing is called parallax. The distance between the lenses is negligible (<10 cm) given that we are filming games where the focus is far. That would pose a problem if a player comes <1~2 meters from the camera. But it’s also the case with Veo.
Made a gopro mount for my hero 5s. One is upside down so I can position the lenses exactly mirrored. Cables are the wrong length so looks a little messy but wanted to test it before I make any permanent cable runs. Using a remote to start the at the same time. Will probably add a mount for that at the back also.
